I have a Wren kitchen and had the delaminating issue. However, my experience was positive. My kitchen was 9 years old. Wren replaced all the doors and panels free of charge. They also replaced 3 oven cabinets as they no longer made the doors in the sizes that would fit above my ovens. It did take several months before everything was delivered correctly. They also covered the cost of removing and fitting the new parts. So not all Wren experiences are horror stories.

There are no more corner units showing on the Pax 2.0 pages. I need one for my new closet. Do you know if they are coming?

Installed Pax 2.0 for a client yesterday. They've addressed ALL the previous issues in one hit. Don't be put off by the naysayers, this stuff is good.

Looks like a "hack" will be required if you are hoping to fit the old style sliding door rails onto these as they don't have the holes pre-drilled in the top panel for the two plastic top clips to fit through ... (part number 124341) that help support the top rail

What are those slabs you are using as tops, they look brilliant. Where did you get them from

Do you know if the new drawers are fully extendable? I have the 13 inch ones and they don’t even open halfway. Some videos I have seen on the pax komplement drawers are that some fully open and some don’t. I don’t understand why this is. Any insight would be helpful. The current drawers are basically useless and if I had know I wouldn’t have purchased.

This update looks awful as an avid dyier. No option to cut down length, if the backboard breaks (highly prone to due to its flimsyness), much more difficult to repair, inflexible design whereby earlier you could combine 2 broken paxes together by swapping parts, now much harder since the sideboards and top boards can't be rotated and plastic parts that are unique and harder to replace. This is honestly so sad and I really hope it doesn't go through. I still have a bunch of old pax parts at home that I was planning on assembling and selling, but now I'm not so sure anymore. (Edit for fixing grammar mistakes).

What a fantastic job!! Amazing and inspiring! I’m thinking of doing something similar but putting the wallpaper on the back of the original wooden board that comes with the IKEA shelves. Is there any reason you would think that wouldn’t work? I thought it might eliminate the problem of dealing with the little gap at the back of the units.. thoughts are welcome 😊

Wish I had known about this, I would have waited for 2.0 instead of buying and stockpiling the older parts in my master bedroom for a year. They look easy to put together too. I can put the old ones together in 15 min using a nail gun for the back, but the back is the worst part. These don't seem much better with reagrds to the back, but they are Similar to the new ENHET with the keyhole slots. I don't think they will be as sturdy, but when you screw a few of them together, maybe so. I would have much rather pur 14 of these together than the old ones. At least the Komplement parts will fit.

A very similar new pax frame appears to be available on Ikea's USA website but it appears to come with a wall-mounting rail. Did yours come with a rail? The rail part number in the new manuals is 10116976, 10116987, or 10117011 depending on the width of the frame. It is unclear to me if the rail is an optional anchoring mechanism for tipping prevention or is a significant structural part for the back board. If the former, I am confused why the frame can't anchor directly into the behind wall like the older pax frame designs. I am having a hard time finding a video that shows how to install the rail, which i think adds significantly increased difficulty to the installation process for a novice DIYer.

Great video and very helpful. I assembled my Pax 2.0 wardrobes today. I ordered a run of 50+100+50cm carcasses, 236cm tall with Reinsvoll doors. Worth mentioning the 50cm wide units now also fold in the centre like the 100cm do. The hardest part was unfolding them whilst vertical, but once the back rail was in place assembly was a breeze. The design of these is really well thought through, and the tall units feel quite sturdy. Really pleased how it turned out.
